Warranty:

Warranty:
2 years/25,000 miles on the catalyst substrate
5 years/50,000 miles on the pipes, shields and body

Flow/Performance:
The term "High Flow" is a marketing ploy. The actual airflow of the converter
depends on the length and cross section of the substrate and the size of the converter.
The thickness of the honeycomb wall is also a factor. Depending on the size
of the converter, they may be inferior to OEM. The idea that "High Flow" aftermarket
converters are superior to OEM is conditional. Many OEM designs are well designed
and many aftermarket designs are inferior. We will recommend the part that
best suits your needs. We do not currently carry metallic substrate often
advertised as high flow which are actually inferior to our ceramic substrates in
terms of air flow and efficiency.

|
Rating:
We stamp the rating for engine size and GVW right on the box. All of our converters
are approved for use on OBD-II applications outside the state of California including
California vehicles.

Rating:
This is not always printed on the box. You may need to either check the catalog
or call the manufacturer to find this information.

|
Technology:
Our converters are made with the latest cutting edge technology to ensure the best
efficiency and longevity for your money. Our converters tend to require fewer
precious metals to achieve the same efficiency levels as similar units. They
also tend to produce more consistent longer lasting results.
|
Technology:
Most competitive products use the cheapest manufacturing process which results in
an inferior product. Most use catalyst coating technology that dates back
ten to twenty years. This tends to require more precious metal content
to meet clean air standards.
|
|
Materials:
100% Stainless Steel Construction. No aluminum components are used in our
products. Built to last the life of the vehicle.
|
Materials:
Pipes and heat shields are often made from cheap steel plated with aluminum.
Built to last 2 - 7 years.
|
|
Durability:
Superior quality padding prevents the catalyst from fracturing or rattling loose.
Superior quality heat sheilds and pipes ensures longer lasting performance.
Catalyst is rated to over 100,000 miles in durability tests.
|
Durability:
Low quality packing tends to deteriorate with use resulting in fractured catalyst
that rattles loose, restricting exhaust flow and minimizing efficiency. Most
are rated to 50,000 miles or less in durability tests.
|
|
Value:
Our converters have been tested by an independent laboratory and have been show
to exhibit comparable performance as compared to similar units. In many cases,
our standard units meet or exceed the efficiency of competitors heavy duty converters.
Get more efficiency for your money. Long life ensures that frequent replacement
is not a hidden cost.
|
Value:
Tend to perform less efficiently and require more precious metals which tends to
increase costs. Tend to be less durable so frequent replacement may be necessary.
|
|
California Emissions:
Our converters meet CARB requirements for OBD-I (1995 and older) vehicles.
California testing for OBD-II compliance is only required in the State of California
and is performed and approved only for specific models. All of our converters
meet OBD-II requirements for the remaining 49 states including California Emission
Compliant vehicles outside the State of California.
Please note, as of this writing, the California Air Resource Board (CARB) is revising
their existing regulations, which may make earlier tests no longer applicable.

Technical Support:
Our converters are backed by a wealth of knowledge of how converters really work,
how to accurately troubleshoot problems, and specific information about original
equipment configurations. We keep records of technical articles and offer
solutions that prevent you from having to do the same job twice.
|
Technical Support:
If it isn't in the catalog, it doesn't exist. The wealth of knowledge
generally consists of little more than what the catalog or manufacturer says.
The manufacturer generally has little real world experience regarding the proper
installation or fit related issues.
